A Little Bit About Alex Kaufman...

Alex founded SelfReliant LLC in September 2007 as a senior at Duke University in Durham, NC. He is originally from Redmond, WA and spent two summers interning with invention investment firm Intellectual Ventures LLC. Alex graduated Duke in May 2008 with a BA in Economics and a Minor in Biology. His current focus is on educational economics, and in particular, how the Internet is going to fundamentally change the public/private school system in the coming decades. As such, Alex devotes the majority of his time to researching Web 2.0 and other social media tools on the Internet and discerning how they could impact education.
